Livestreaming e-commerce training sessions are popular in Shilan Town, Huayuan County, which provides new opportunities for the development of rural e-commerce and widening sales of high-quality agricultural products.

In the Qixiu Golden Tea Exhibition Center of Shibadong Village in Shilan Town, a training session for livestreaming is undergoing. Through the teaching method of theory plus practice and simple words, the instructor taught locals how to sell agricultural products through livestreaming, and how to shoot short videos. After a class, villagers learned much.

“This training session has taught me a lot. We grow tea and rice in Yaqiao Village,, and I want to lead villagers to sell our agricultural products through online e-commerce,” said Shi Yulan, Party secretary of Yaqiao Village.

It is an e-commerce practical training camp targeting village Party secretaries, enterprise leaders, industry experts, and village cadres. Professional teams have been invited to tailor courses in accordance with local conditions.

“First, we showcase many cases to stimulate the interest and enthusiasm of trainees. Second, we focus on practical operations in the course training, driving them to operate and better understand the process. Finally, we will bring many new AI tools to help them better complete this work,” said Deng Yaowen, general manager of Changsha Yunyan Technology Company.

As a representative of the National People’s Congress and chairman of Xiangxi Qixiu Miao Clothing Culture Company, while strengthening the golden tea and Miao embroidery industries, Shi Jia also builds a platform for learning, exchanges, development and dedication for rural new farmers relying on resource advantages, so as to develop new quality productivity in rural industries.

“We should cultivate some rural CEOs who can personally participate in agricultural product sales through e-commerce, so as to understand what the market wants and what they need to do. Therefore, after this training session, trainees will form an e-commerce alliance, and apply AI assistants and video matrixes to jointly promote the development of the agriculture, culture and tourism industries in Shilan Town,” said Shi Jia.

Technology and e-commerce have opened up new ways for farmers to comprehensively promote rural revitalization, and have become a powerful engine for farmers’ income increase.

In the future, Shilan Town will create a strong e-commerce talent team through training activities to help sell agricultural products to other places. The town will also rely on the history of the traditional Youma Ancient Village to create a sales platform for agricultural products in Miao villages, enabling the Miao township to achieve high-quality development and rural revitalization.
